Notice Inviting Interested Contractors for the 2024 California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting (CUPCCA) Program
 
In accordance with the State of California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Commission (CUPCCA), the Modoc County Office of Education (MCOE) invites all interested licensed contractors to submit their company information for inclusion on the MCOE list of prequalified bidders for calendar year 2024. All prequalified contractors in the appropriate classification will be notified via email as projects become available.
 
MCOE shall enact a bidding process to govern the selection of contractors to perform public projects under the bid thresholds under CUPCCAA.
 
SEC. 2. Section 22032 of the Public Contract Code is amended to read:
 
(a) Public projects of sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) or less may be performed by the employees of a public agency by force account, by negotiated contract, or by purchase order.
 
(b) Public projects of two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) or less may be let to contract by informal procedures as set forth in this article.
 
(c) Public projects of more than two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) shall, except as otherwise provided in this article, be let to contract by formal bidding procedure.
 
Please fill out the Contractor Registration Application below to register to be added to the List of Qualified Contractors to be Notified of projects for your license type for the 2024 calendar year. All contractors and subcontractors that wish to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, or enter into a contract to perform public work must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. No bid will be accepted nor any contract entered into without proof of the contractor’s and subcontractors’ current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations to perform public work. If awarded a Contract, the Bidder and its subcontractors, of any tier, shall maintain active registration with the Department of Industrial Relations for the duration of the Project.
